Dzul's birthday :)

I ruined it. I ruined his birthday surprise :(

So it fell on the week after raya, which was quite a hassle since we just got back from kampung. I was worried in case Ayah decides to prolong our visit there. Fortunately, we arrived home in KL a day before his birthday. So I had my plans spread out.

Nussow was one of my accomplices. We had many alternative plans, cause we had to switch according to situations. And out of all feared spoilers, my parents had to make me stay at home! I bought cupcakes and his birthday gift, coordinated with Nussow and got Dzul on track to fit in my plan but I wasn't permitted to go out. Not even for a freaking hour!

I don't even wanna remember how devastated I was that day. Dzul told me how depressed he was that he couldn't spend the day with the one who he wants to be with most. I felt worse! The guilt, the anger, the regret, the longing feeling for time to turn around... Oh I couldn't apologise enough to him. I would be saddened myself to not have celebrated my birthday with my couple. It was a hard challenge for us both. I cried hot tears and threw pillows all over the place, hated being refrained. I couldn't stop begging and apologising to Dzul. And I heard him sob on the phone that night. It broke my heart :'(

When we next met in Malacca, I know I had to do something to reimburse the depression I cost him. Well, we both very well know what happened and how'd it turned out so let it remain as our memories. Although it was a belated gesture, I bet he loved the surprise and little celebration. Oh, and here's what I got him, well, us, actually :)

Amel !
Nain !

Our babies! Hehe the ever famous DooDolls! He keeps the red one, and I keep the orange one. He named his, Amel. Therefore I named mine, Nain. Just to pair them/us both :P

Anyways, I'm sorry to spoil your first birthday with me. I'll make sure I don't get the birthday I want when it's mine soon. Haha an eye for an eye. May you live long, may we stay long, and may Amel & Nain brings us closer ♥

Would you be my girlfriend?

Ahaha the title's cheesy much, I know. So yeah. He proposed :D

'Twas our first real date. A nice Tuesday in a blessed fasting month. We were both in KL for the eid holidays. I wanted to buy raya accessories and stuff, so he was very well prepared to accompany me. No other intentions, or so I thought :)

Mid Valley was averagely packed that day. We usually fight and bicker about little things around us. There's so many things to argue when you're with someone so defensive, pessimistic and strong-opinionated like him. Hehe. He's my handsome version of a devil's advocate. Yes Dzul, I just called you handsome :) But exclusively on that particular day, we talked about similar preferences and laughed on the same jokes; which by the way means, that usually when a joke comes around, the other would think it's less funny. Ugh -.- So we were blissfully laughing and walking side by side, happy to be in each other's company. As I walked in and out of shops looking for bracelets and stuff, he followed me around WITHOUT complaining, which was an utter surprise for me. Then it came the time for us to head back home.

This is after I conteng conteng his arms with our names! :D
Whilst waiting for the KTM to KL Sentral, I was nagging to him lah how trains are so lembab and tiring for us to wait for. He just smiles while listening, not even an attempt to shut me up. When a train arrives, other than me sighing "finally" aloud, we approached the nearest coach that stopped from where we waited. I didn't know why he was so annoyingly slow-walking towards the opening of the train. There were humans thrusting inwards the coach so he was being skeptical to join the human stuffing. So I sighed again as we watch the train leave us to wait for the next one. As I turn my back to take a seat, he was already seated, taking my hand as I sit.

The next thing I know, I was officially his girlfriend. And smiling ear to ear. With a red Lovely Lace rose in my hand. All I recall was him being impressed with versatile face expressions I can spontaneously come up with :P Honestly, I expected him to pop the question soon, but not as flattering. It was a nice well-done heart-felt surprise. Never done by any other guys in my life. I fell hard for you, Raja Dzulqurnain :)

May we last long, sayang ♥

Thanks for today, dear. Thanks for waiting, thanks for walking and teman-ing me shopping, thanks for making me laugh all day, thanks for the rose you surprised me with, and most importantly, thanks for proposing and making us official, you have no idea how much it means to me :)I love you Raja Dzulqurnain ♥
And so I posted this on my Facebook Wall as soon as I got home! :D
September 7th, 2010 and counting :)

I respect thee, Russel :)

Daniel Russel a/l Mohanraj. Senior. UPG boss. Best friend's boyfriend. And definitely a friend of my own :)

I still remember how I thought life in MMU was perfect, until I came to a point where everyone thought I've changed and despise the fact that I hang out with the wrong type of people. Petrene bashes me out on this, Luqman, Abg Bob, Hajar and everyone hates the fact that I keep on disappearing and the fact that I changed my ways of talking, acting, missing my classes, etc. Culture shock, I might say. But now all these things are straightened up since I'm keeping my friendship with the UTeM boys for real. I thought I kept it cool and strong enough although deep inside I knew I was frantically worried about my unconscious behaviour and changes. Don't break, Mell, don't break! As I was sitting in front of Siti Hasmah's that evening, he just had to join me. And out of nowhere, I just felt like telling him everything. Things that I don't even tell my girls. And he broke me to tears. Effortlessly. Those tears made me feel sooo much better right after. By then I knew that I'd need him :)

I always thought of him as a senior. Or just another guy in MMU that shares a mutual friend with me, which is Debra, of course. But there's a reason we crossed paths anyways. I meant to get to know him. And he's there to lend me pieces of advise or merely just hints of ways I should be thinking, handling or rationalising things. No offence Daniel, but he resemblance lotsa my dad's traits. Or maybe the respect I have of him mirrored him to Ayah padahal he's just being him alone. :)

Whatever it is, I look ahead to take in what I can to pursue what I can't see in me from Daniel's tunjuk ajar. Every one's presence in another one's life may have a certain reason, therefore I'm taking what comes most from you hehe. Thanks for being there/here !

RD ♥

Raja Dzulqurnain bin Raja Perdaus. 19 years old. UTeM. Teman tapi mesra :)

So we met at Emerald Park. It was Mad (M Arif Daud) who brought us together. And the rest of his housemates and friends. He was quite shy and speechless at first. Then when he asks for my number, I didn't see a reason not to. So I said 'whattheheck bagi je lah' and I did.Luqman got quite jealoused but initially that was the whole point. Until got to know that Dzul was much much more worth the rebound character :)

We texted, we hung out for lunch and dinner around the area. Before it came to fasting month, his friends and himself asked me out for movies and McDonald's so I took the risk of going out alone with seven guys at a time to Dataran Parade. I find them fairly trustworthy (cause you can't trust random guys that much) and very very funny! Ughh I can't get enough of their jokes and humour. It was nice to hang out with a bunch of loose chillax group of boys once in a while :)

I felt like I've known them forever. Like we were high school friends. Or friends from hometown. Or we could've been friends from the same varsity, but we aren't. Yet it feels very much like it! Since the outings, dates and teasings, Dzul and I were inseparable. Then again I got close to Gor (Ahmad Fadzlee Azizi) too. And also Mad. But they always had wanted me to be closer and closer to Dzul. I wonder why :)

We flirt with each other like strangers, and we fight like lovers too. At one point I got confused of our status together. But I do make an emphasis about our first base friendship still. Then one day when he went back home to settle his PTPTN, we chatted on Facebook. That was when he first told me. That he loved me :)

I knew we had a spark somehow. I was in great dilemma by then, being involved with a third person. *sigh* Considering that he also once told me that he left his exgirlfriend due to long distance and other doubts of relationship they had. And the fact that we've only known each other for only a month or so. I couldn't jump into another relationship believing that he really really loves me. Anyhow, I told him love shouldn't be rushed at, but to be developed and we should get to know each other even deeper. So he agreed :)

Came to an understanding of his that when two people are sure of their feelings and affection, you're considered an officiated couple. But nooo, you know how I am, a relationship should be sealed with a deal. Changing our relationship status on Facebook to be together ain't a way of it. "He shall ask for my hand officially, with pre-permissions of my closest friends". And tell the world how much he loves me hehe. Than I will call myself his girlfriend :)

So I shall wait, Raja Dzulqurnain ♥

Meet Petrene :)

Petrene Susanna Peter. One of the things I love about her. Her name. Petrene came from Peter and Irene; which are her parents. How sweet is that? I still can't get over it :)

Yes, once upon a time, and I deeply hope still is, my gay partner. She has my deep dark secrets. She knows what it's like to be really curious. She teaches me how to do stuff. She's my official partner in crime. And only she knows what I'm talking about :)))

Another that makes me love her, she's so spoiled, that sometimes she's almost demanding all the time. What do I love about this? She makes me feel needed and important. That if I'm not around, she'd die somewhere. But instead, THAT proved how vain I was. Until at a certain point, I realised that it was I who needed her. Not the other way round. It doesn't make sense? Well, it took me awhile to realise that it's not about being dependant or reliable to anyone, it's about taking responsibility towards the commitment in your friendship. Petrene made me realise this. After eighteen years of living. True they say, a friend in a part of your lifetime may change your whole perception of something, just with his/her presence..

So yeah, she's pretty and sexy. Ever so attractive, all guys of all races were lining up for her. But one guy came up front and steal the spot, Salleh Ghazi. Which in return, stole our spots; Petrene's friends. Haha. He's such a doll, I mean, the right boyfriend I'd vote for Petrene to have. He's definitely one of my favourite. But I guess I might need another blogpost to just talk about him and not in this post, aite? So, look out for next posts :P

Oh oh I looove her Sabahan accent, just as much as I love Debra's, and especially the fact that she teaches me Sabahan/Kadazan words. Like, patak-patak, or tapuk-tapuk, or tentelor, loloi, pukitai, tapun, susu kacang (oh no, Debra taught me that -.-), getek, and having bah's instead of lah's. On our first basis of early friendship, Debra had to translate every Sabahan phone conversation she had. I'd be left gawking listening to her talking in thick Kadazan accent, but now I'm so used to it that sometimes even I blurt out my fake Sabahan accent :P

Petrene, I love you, you know that kan? And I know you love me too. That's why you always look out for me. You always give me advise and encouragement, (and most of the time discouragement, so that I would rise up to the challenge and prove myself). You never EVER would judge for who I am or who I become. Even if it took only a couple of weeks for me to change, you always knew the part that I always am and always be. And you know what makes me think that we're true friends? It's because we've only met 9 weeks ago, babe. 9 weeks ago. And I'm still looking on to months and years to come. I hope no matter how much time you spend with Velove and Yvonne, or even how much I disappoint you on different levels, you'd still know that I need you, cause for all you know, I might be 'younger' than I seem. I love you, don't leave me :')

Debra Allison ♥

Debra Allison Beaty. Kadazan. Sabahan. And my sweetheart :)

It didn't take long for me to like her when we first became friends. Even cliche as it sounds, I met her in Habeeb. Another acquaintance made there. Fuh. The first thing I remember that made us click was when I found out that she's a reader as myself too. She reads Cecelia Ahern's line up! And others too! The second was our habit of texting haha :D We're both hardcore text-a-holics and we're proud of it. Even most of our last texts that we type down before we go to sleep are for our girlies and families ♥

After awhile, it amazes me how so much more than just that are common between us. We joined University Peer Group, which made both our lives different right after. And most important, our friendship :)

We became EXCOs of UPG and also became instant besties by then. We went for activities together; like once on UPG Ice Breaking trip to Gunung Ledang, we spent the night out and sat/slept in the bus next to each other, went to the EXCO interview together, being elected together and then fulfilling our roles together. I love her for being with me in the word 'together' itself :)

She understands most of the contentment and hardships that I feel in that certain phase of my life cause she faces the same amount of pressure, workload and every possible obstacle there is in fulfilling our task. I once had a nervous breakdown, and decided to disappear. She was the first person I contacted. She's my mature and rational friend I'd run for advise to. And she's my heartwarmer too. The one who'd you be confident to always manage to say the right things at the right time. I love you, Debs :)

Debra sayang, don't give up on me just yet, okay? I might be a hassle here and there but I wanna keep you around cause you're such a doll to me :) You understand me well and I need no more than a look to make you understand. Telepathy, they say. But us, we're just girlfriends who have great minds. AND happen to be beautiful at the same time :P You're my cheerleader as well as my devil's advocate. You're my teacher and my pet. Stay close, don't go please! I sayang you :)

Abang Bob :)

Ahmad Faiz bin Muazan. My big protective caring brother. I feel safer just knowing he's around :)

We met during orientation. He's a senior, in fact. He's big-sized, and has also a big heart. He's always concerned of my whereabouts and who-abouts, haha. He looks after me, takes care of me and backs me up when I need 'em. He's definitely a keeper :)

He made me get to know Luqman, Ihsan, Paan; his cousin, Kak Anyss and a cable to shisha business hehe. He showed me around Malacca, helped me plan Petrene's birthday surprise and always keep me updated with stuff.

Abang, thanks for being there for me and always having my back. I'd do the same for you, you know that kan? I'd never say or do anything that would hurt your feelings. You're like my very own brother. And I hope you can accept for whatever kind of person I'd turn out to be. Thanks. Allah bless you :)

Ihsan Alhakim :)

On the first day and the very first time I met this guy was at Din's Cafe in campus. He was wearing a yellow sweat-shirt. And I thought he was cute :)

We were introduced by Dzulfadhli Lamin. Their sisters are good friends. Yeah, Dzul's big sis, Diyana Lamin, who is in MMU Cyberjaya, is good friends with Ihsan's big sis, Aness Alhusna, who's in MMU Malacca. So that's basically how I got to know him.

Truthfully, I had a little crush on him initially, until I learnt that I wasn't his taste. Not the other way round. He's funny, he's cute, he's kind and special in many ways. I thought I can know everything about him yet when it comes to what he's thinking, I'm clueless. So might as well not try at all. :(

But it was good knowing you, Ihsan. Thanks for the brief friendship we had. Sending and fetching me from home, for instance. And inviting me to wherever we've been. That one time lunch in Plaza Siswa we had :)

Oh, I could never ever forget how it felt like when I first heard the news about your accident the other day from Luqman. I almost cried. I cancelled my class to go see you at the hospital. Thank God Luqman drove us there. You crazy dude. Haihhhh -.-'  I'll miss your noisy Green Kura-kura Charade. We all will :')

Take care, Ihsan. Wherever you are now. I really hope we could start over. But I guess not.
My prayers are with you!

It Has Been Ages, Bloggie :)

It has been ages since I've updated you. There's so much going through in my life nowadays. THIS is what and how I call a campus life. Changes. Adaptations. Drama. New attributions. Experiences. Failures. And fun. More fun. Then heartbreak. Sigh.

Study? Funny how much I've to catch up when I thought I was pacing well. Sigh.

The past? Of all the hassle and busy-ness, I still have random flashbacks of high school memoirs. Sigh.

Home? Home isn't always my first choice of location nowadays. I love Malacca. No really, I love the freedom, I guess. But every freedom has its limits. Sigh.

Izhar? So we broke up. About a month ago. A few days before I came to MMU. No one knew about this. NO ONE. Because I told him not to tell anyone. And he specifically forced requested me to call and text him everyday just like normal. And I can tell the way he regretted with what went down between us. But no. I won't ignore the fact that he called it off. After the past boyfriends' experiences I had, I won't be hooking up with anyone dah after this. Only scandals.

Now? I'll try my best to update what I can. :)

Then Comes Dzulfadhli Lamin...

I remember that night when Hajar and I were just back from Pasar Malam Tmn Kerjasama. Then I got a phone call from of all unexpected persons to call. My screen showed Blanc SAS. Whom is Dzulfadhli Lamin from SAS obviously. Well, he did call a few days back asking how I was in MMU and stuff. But I thought it was random or he had free phone calls to waste or something like that HAHA. Until that night's conversation.

Rupa rupanya he was gonna register in MMU the next day. In Malacca. On the same course. Leaving his matrix college in Kuala Pilah. Yeah, exactly. Haha.

So I gave him a few details on registration and stuff. Give him info on our course. Nasib baik it was the first week so most of our classes haven't started anything. But some lectures have started but he hadn't miss much anyway.

So when he came the next day, I was busy with class and all. Around noon, he gave me a call and I invited Hajar and Previn to wait for him in Abraar. The next thing I know I was escorting him to the Registration Office, walking him to STAD to take his orientation kit and climbing up the FOSEE building to register his course. Even coincident, we're on the same lecture group AND tutorial group. Haha.

So now I have a friend from the past in radar. Funny how people make weird expression when they see me respond to Dzul's calling for a MELL instead of an Amalina. HAHA. Whatever :)

So anyways, welcome to Multimedia University, Dzul. Hope you'd like it the way we do ;)

A Night Out with Ihsan,Dzul and seniors :)

Boring. That was what I felt that evening when I was all alone in my room. Doing nothing but stare the ceiling. And listening to music. Then (of course, the most cliche part) my phone vibrates and I peeled through Ihsan Alhakim's text message.

"Hey. Nak pergi JJ tak? Then singgah MBO :) "

"Ohh nak nak! Sape lagi ikut? Mbo tu apa? Hehe. "

"Esan, zul, kakngah ngan kawan dia. mbo tu wayang lahhh.."

"Oh okay :) See you in five! "

Then off we went. Rupa rupanya there were six of us. His sis brought two friends along. Since Ihsan has Dzul tagging him, I had to tag along with his sister and the other ladies. Sangat awkward! But it turned out that they were sporting and comforting. We talked, joked around and swapped stories and advices. Best :)

We watched Lagenda Budak Setan eventhough Kak Aness and I have watched it, the second view wouldn't hurt kan? So we did. I sat in between Dzul and Ihsan. :) :)

Ahahahaha Ihsan and I laughed hard when other viewers were laughing on parts they shouldn't. Lawak gilaaa. Dzul, on the other hand, cried at certain parts. *Dzul gives me a look* Okayyyy not exactly cried, just a bit saddened and sebak at the part when Ayu died out of childbirth. He thinks that childbirth deaths are just too devastating. I guess his soft spot has shown itself.

We went for dinner at this local western restaurant WHICH we won coupons of that day from IT Fair in MMU. I kinda forgot what the restaurant was exactly called. Anyways, we ate and left :)

Before we leave after the movie, we stopped at McDonald's and I had a McFlurry and treated Ihsan ice cream. Then right after he treated me Coke :)

It was my first outing in Malacca. So, thanks Ihsan for the invite :)

And So I Thought .

Being in a new place, new environment and new friends. Weird and awkward much. Yet rejuvenating and refreshing. On ways of communicating, ice-breaking occasions and self-introductions. I don't remember how many times I had to introduce myself.

"Hye, my name is Nur Amalina. Call me Amalina *smile* :) I'm from Ampang KL. I am taking Law because I've always liked literature instead of science and I love to debate. I chose MMU because it has a multiracial community along with its suitable environment. Thank you."

Cheesy much? Well thats too formal eh? Here's another.

"Hye i'm Amalina. From Ampang KL. I'm taking Law. :) " That's it.

So here's a bit of my first week in MMU. Orientation week as they call it. Read on!

Day One.

Met Siti Hajar. My neighbour's neighbour slash family friend. And now roommate! Glad to have her since we don't know anyone so at least we have each other. She's in Blue group and I'm in the Green group.
I'm in Green Six group. Our Mobile OC (Orientation Committee) was Kak Jannah.  There was 27 of us so I didn't really get to know anyone yet cause we were occupied with briefings.

Day Two.

Still occupied with briefings. No fun. But the activities in between are killer fun :D I don't mind going through each briefing to look forward to next group activity :)

Day Three.

Enjoying the free food. Though many complained. But I thought the food was okay. At least they were edible :P My roomie Hajar, we spent most time together. But she gets friends instantly! Chinese, Indian. Sadly lesser Malays. I'm her Malay friend :) But yeah, I respect her friendliness! I'mma get myself kawan kawan baru too :D Played games in our big group. Still no kenal kenal with groupmates :(

Day Four.

Last briefing !! And our first group ice breaking :) Here are my groupmates :

Zulaikha, Priyha, Hang Yi, Ping Kwee, Quan Long, Lathy, Ikram, Hui Pherng, Syazwan, Tang Sheng, Pei Ying, Vijaya, Miao Ling, Sharon, Jir Hui, Li Hong, and Pei Ru.

Day Five.

Close to end already. I'm starting to like MMU :)
Half of my group are busy with drama and stuff. No, I'm not in it. I don't hell mind cause I'd be missing a lot in the orientation itself. So we went for course registering and shit. I've got four subjects this sem. Hope to ace 'em all :P

Day Six.

Day six? Mak aih. Kejap je. So here we are in Day Six. Last day of orientation. GREEN GANG GO~!
Hahaha Green Spirit everywhere on this day. After closing night, we had yamcha and makan2. Abang Bob, one of the OCs sent me there to Infasha so I didn't have to walk :P I sat and ate with Hang Yi and his friends. Ikram Hamzah was there too :)

ORIENTATION WAS HELL OF A FUN :D

Hye Alia Sharuddin :D

She's here in Malacca for her boyfie ofcourse, which was my ex HAHA. But anyways, she came all the way to Ayer Keroh to meet me after that.

We initially met her at Mahkota Parade. Oh, we, by means, Hajar and I. She wanted to teman me cause it's my first official meeting with Alia. So yeah. I kinda need another person than just us. It'll be super awkward :D

Anyways, we watched Lagenda Budak Setan. We both almost cried. AND laughed at the same time. Haha. But she's someone fun to be with by the way. No hard feelings. All hatred aside. Professional women weyhhh :P

We makan at Kenny Rogers. Walked around and went back. She came into my home too, for the record. But she's nice lah in general. Glad to know you Alia :)

Mandarin !

I've always wanted to learn Mandarin. Since I was thirteen, as I remembered. But being here makes me even more eager than I was. Especially having to learn it from a cute Chinese-Mandarin-slash-Cantonese-speaking guy :D

His name? Hang Yi :)
Where from? Orientation group.
How did he? I asks him to translate every possible phrase I could think of!
And? He teaches me well, so far :)

Oh, and I think he has the best fashion sense. And the cutest laugh! Haha!
Hang Yi, ni leng zhai :)

So here's a few.

Chou an. Good morning!

Wan an. Good night.

Ni hao :) Hye!

Ni hao ma? How are you?

Ke yi ma? Can or not?

Ni jiao wo ma? Did you call me?

Jin jin! Shut up!

Zhen de ma? Really?

Zhu ar ni! Babi ar kau! HAHA.

Shen mok? What?

Wei shen mok? Why?

Wo pu yao :( I do not want.

Wo pu dong/Wo pu chi tau. I don't know.

Wo hen hao. I'm very fine.

Xien xien. Thank you.

Tui. (pronounced: tu-ay) Right (betul).

Ni chai na li? Where are you?

Wo xiang ni/Wo xiong lim ley :( I miss you :(

...and many more. :D

I tried using 'em with a few Chineses I bump into. Like at stores or restaurants. Passer-bys or seniors. It makes them look at me twice, smile and answer amusingly :D

Sometimes I don't get what they say so I just smile and walk away HAHAHA.

Anyways, it was fun learning bits of it and I hope to learn more and be fluent with it. I'm in no rush and language has been my passion since ever so I hope I can cope. Orientation was a blast for me. Memoirs in knowing Hang Yi was the sweetest. We have t-shirts in remembrance of our brief friendship and I hope to see him around campus everyday even just to say 'ni hao' :)
