Her Three Days.

Short story interpretation or drama presentation is one of the most awaited task/event of this trimester in the English subject. I am a part of a group consisting Priyha, Varun, Anisha, Divya, Cassian, Tharma and Nik Aiman. The eight of us will present a story called Her Three Days.

The story is about polygamy. The main character is the third wife of a man who has four wives. His wives has to wait and take turns for their husband's homecoming. So our story revolves around the third wife, anticipating her husband to come home and give her the pleasure and attention she yearns for. However the husband, Mustapha never came and was extremely selfish and unfair towards his women.

I had lots of fun while we trained and worked together, day and night. Our performance was, to me, off the hook! Eventhough it was kind of messy, we probably made a damn good mess! Haha but our hearts crashed and burn when the lecturer didn't even give us proper comments and subjective testimony right after all dramas were done. As if we never even did performed that day anyways. Nevertheless, I am very proud of my group and I am sure we'd made good grades ;)

Mustapha and his third wife - the main characters.

Debra came to support me! Thank you wifey :)

Welcome to Malacca! :D

Kakngah is here in Malacca! Finally, the week we had been planning for since she'd finished SPM. She's not working and her IELTS classes with British Council are done so she's free to come with me to Malacca and back to KL after a week.

I brought her to eat in my usual places, brought her to one of my classes and introduced her to most of my closest friends. I even got her to lepak with me in Abraar in the mid of night like I always do with RD and his friends. Now she has the rough picture of my daily life since last ten months. And thus she understands how life has been for me.

We even once watched a psychopathic thriller movie entitled Black Swan, starred by Natalie Portman. Damn good movie. Intriguing, haunting and mind-twisting as well. We went with Dzul and Debra. It was also the night I would never forget, cause Dzul and I ended up fighting really bad.

Most memorable for Kakngah would be playing Monopoly Deal cards with Debra and Daniel. She loved the card game very much. Everybody first learnt about Salina, was that she couldn't stand watching a game of football at the mamak with a crowd like a night when Liverpool and Manchester United were up. She also caught Petrene's attention. Haih, now that's something I have to think about later when she's confirmed coming to MMU.

MDO Grand Finals Night :D

3rd Malaysia Debate Open is a tournament by MMU Melaka for debaters to form teams from varsities, schools, veteran individuals and independent debaters. A reunion like no other.

MDO was initially known of it's informal reunion party to bring together friends in the debating community while debating for fun. However, this year's tournament turned out to be a throat-slitting competition among teams for the sake of competitiveness. An extra of 92 teams turned up on registration day out of the blue! I was comprehended of how chaotic the registration team and logistic division were screwed. They somehow managed to withdraw MDO from that problem.

Long story short, I got a one-night position in the crew, to be the Grand Final Night's emcee, partnered up with Vignesh Menon. It was terrifying as it was my first (actually second, but I don't think I'd count the time I emcee-d for 3 Days Around the World since it was a small informal ceremony) time doing it but I had many hours to practice and many dedicative support from boyfriend, friends and sister.

I met Kamal from SASER and Aidil Haikal from SAS too. High school debate buddies who I'd known since I first started debating in my life. We grew up together to discover things we had now. In debating, at least. The MDO Crew were cooperative and friendly. I had no problem working with them. It was a great experience :)

Ladies of mine :)

My partner, Vignesh. Pardon the obvious height difference!

Six Months ♥

Dear RD,

Thank you for the bestest six months of my life that you have given to me. I hope our relationship would last long and be blessed with happiness, strength, mutual understanding, pure sincerity & kids in the future! Who knows? :) I'm sorry for all the wrongs I have made and all the frustrations I have caused. You have been there for me when I'm in distress, listened to me when I needed to be heard and held me when I needed support. You make me feel loved. I can never express how much I love you for who you are. Stay with me.

Who loves you very much, Amel :)

Hello March :)

The first day of March! Nothing bothers me but classes for now. I wanna stay focused on studies this month and put at least 70 percent in it. Yes, 70 percent!

I have no ultimate long term plans for this month, but I shall stick around in Malacca when I need to and will come home when nothing upholds me from it. I'm determined to preserve and nurture my relationships with God, my family, my friends and of course, Dzul. Losing my support system means losing my life!

This morning RD posted sayings that only I can feel the internal boosting that no one can benefit from! Only me :) He also gave me a song, Can't Take My Eyes Off You by Muse. He has the tendency to bring forth head-banging songs, even to bring across a romantic gesture :)

Today Debra and Daniel are headed off to Penang for a back-packing trip and I envy them for it :( I wish I could've done the same, alone, with RD or a friend, I don't care. I just wanna run and get away. Looks like my favourite Ds got a good kick-off to begin March 2011. Can't wait for them to come back and tell me everything :)

Tiba tiba :)

It's my third semester in MMU but it's UTeM's second sem. I still see the same people from MMU, but UTeM being a public university have a policy of dismissing students who don't achieve required pointer limit. So yeah, having RD with me still, now I meet his new friends and classmates. But I've been so used to hanging out with his previous friends, I kinda miss them now :)

So this goes to the MK dudes and the rest I always hang out with. You guys are never forgotten :)

Not So Happy Valentine's Day :(

Being in a relationship does not guarantee a perfect Valentine's, in spite you don't have to be alone or partner-less. It hurts twice as much when you have a partner, but he decides not to celebrate or not to even care.

So yeah. My Valentine's ended up celebrated with Debra. Just the two of us. It's not we're pathetic or what cause we are each other's Valentines but it's not that we're single, or one of us are. We both have boyfriends. However our partners decide to skip Valentine's this year. Excuse : have to do other important stuff like studying, sleeping and in my partner's case, he doesn't celebrate Valentine's to begin with. There you go.

Started out the day doing normal daily things like going to class, lunch, facebooking and all. Dzul was sick that day so he didn't go to class. So I tried being romantic and all, bought bread, 100 Plus and Panadol to give it to him. When we met up, we ended up fighting. Bummer. Debra and I went to Mori Cafe right after. We had late lunch while talking, whining and pouring our hearts out. That's why we went to Mori in the first place, our usual relaxing cafe to bitch about things. Apparently Debra had guy problems too, safe to say. Then Ikram came to join us. Loneliness lessened.

Well we decided to skip our jogging session and reimburse with walking around the area. And so we did. We talked some more and went through a short meeting Debra has to proceed with. I gave Debs a little Valentine note just to make one person's day. I know it'll not suffice an equivalent weight of her spouse's, but I'd try my very least, knowing she'd appreciate it better from any other people in the world -.-

Then we sat at the Emerald Park sign in front of MMU entrance. Guess what? That was our so called special Valentine's celebration! So we toasted our Vitagens and ate our chocolate muffins then kept each others' company. Good enough to me. Better than moping in our rooms while watching some sad movie. There were mosquitoes so we ran in and sat in front of the staircase gates. And we talked some more.

When we ended our night, which I thought have ended, I'd call Dzul to see how he was. At first we talked nicely then we fought. Again. Went in my room and went online. Then I got a friend request from M Arif Daud.

As soon as I approved, he went on my Wall and liked every single thing he sees! Annoying much -.- So we chatted and how peculiar to be talking to Mad fully in English! Am so proud of ya, dude ;) He gave me a link on a girl singing One in A Million acoustically, superb singing weyhhh. Then we talked and talked. Until I realise he just made my day. I thought I had lost faith in having to end a day hating myself but I guess there's more to Valentine's Day that I'd thought. So yeah, he told me to hang on to Dzul and I promised myself to love him more than I ever did. Mad made me realise this. And I think he didn't even notice he did :)

Later on Dzul called and I told him I was with Mad online. Then guilt strucked him for leaving me cheered up by other guys. But I convinced Dzul that it wasn't his fault, it was mine. He was sick and I should've been most understanding. It's Maulidurrasul anyways. I should be more sensitive about the way he sees things, especially when it involves religion. So we made up and comforted each other. So I guess all ends well. The major parts, at least.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone :)

Chinese New Year Holidays are back :)

Two weeks at home! Final exams are over and now back home to assist Mummy in taking care of Tok and fulfilling daily chores. She was quite tensed when I got back then things started to roll by itself. She's one helluva strong woman :')

The first week was stay-at-home week. Even Dzul was in Malacca so I had no intention to go out. Especially when my cousins come by our house almost always to visit Tok, who just got discharged from the hospital and now doing physiotherapy exercises by herself. That's another strong woman I see. Having cousins around most of the days, we created our own craze phase. View these, need I say more? :)

So yeah, a day can hype up like that. Then came along Monday when I know Mayo is on leave, I asked her out. We met in Sushi King KLCC and I brought Kakngah along after she finished her IELTS prep class in British Council. Arep came by too. He even treated us all Starbucks. Oh and Mayo gave me a pretty girlish notebook diary from Kinokuniya and a pack of assorted macaroons from Harrod's. Before that, my day started off early and Mayo had a thing to settle so I met up with Mad at Mid Valley first. We just catch up with what hasn't and he introduced me to Mas, his current interest. He has my approval :)

One Nine :)

Happy birthday to me! :D Am currently staying a night over at the hospital accompanying Tok on her first night before her knee surgery tomorrow morning. Yeah, a night practically spent alone since I'm staying up while Tok sleeps and it's my birthday. Somehow I don't feel morose at all, in fact, gleeful than I'd expected :)

Tok got warded in Tawakal Hospital earlier today and going through surgery tomorrow morn. So the attention spot was on her therefore I have no intention to draw the heed on myself. Last night's dinner was at Secret Recipe with Mummy and my sisters. They even bought a slice of classic cheesecake for me to enjoy this very moment. Gay enough to me :)

I'm so touched at the fact that Dzul RD tried so hard to be the first to wish me a happy birthday. That had put me right on happy knowing I have someone who really cares about me and knows how much it means to me. I never get that kind of privilege with other guys, whom do not deserve to be mentioned, and now I have. I am the luckiest person on earth to be his girlfriend. I love you so much, Dzul. Thank you for making me feel loved :)

*phew* Replying to 200+ wallposts on facebook wishing me happy birthday also ain't something I'd grouch about doing tonight. It's actually nice to know that people would take the time to leave you a wish on your Wall, even for a fact they just knew my birthday from a facebook notification :p

All in all, I can't wait to get back to Malacca and celebrate with my friends. However I do have to concentrate on my finals exams first. Got Critical Thinking and Malaysian Legal History done with last Saturday. Next papers are on the 20th - General Principles of Law II and Intro to Law. Wish me bunches of luck!

Happy New Year!

Whoa how time has flown ! It's 2011 already and I'mma turn 19 soon. :D

Back home in KL. Picturing myself having the permission to celebrate new year's at the Curve with Mayo but instead stuck at home watching Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone with my siblings while my parents went out for some grand dinner. Good thing I had Wan Effazleen sleeping over my place. So we gossiped and swap stories. Then we fell asleep. On a new year's night -.-

The next day my relatives were coming over so we could only go out for 5 seconds - well, it felt like 5 secs - to Mayo's just to say hi and make up for not going out the night before. We chit-chatted and drank Barbican. Exchange updates and gossips of fellow batchmates. Then went home. Wan had to leave early cause her mum told her to. So I went back to Malacca on Monday.

So anyways, I have a list of 2011 resolutions :)

1) Better in ibadah, studies, relationship.
2) Lose weight :p
3) Jaga RD baik baik :)
4) Thrifty in spending!
5) Manage time well.
... and many other small missions.

Hopefully I get to fulfill them, insya Allah. May everyone have a great year ahead :D
